Do's and Don'ts in Ramadan


The month of Ramadan is considered as the holy month by the Muslims all over the world. In the month of Ramadan, people keep fast throughout the month and offer Namaz five times a day with punctuality and on time.They Start the fast with Sehri and end  evening with Iftaar. During this time, most people open their Rosa by eating dates.




We are going to tell you what to eat and what not to eat in sehri and iftaar to control your "Thirst and Hunger".

1.It is very important to keep the body hydrated during Rosa. Therefore,one should include water, fruit or vegetable juice in your food and consume fluids.




Eat a bowl of curd without sugar during Sehri. This will replenish(refill) the water in your body and the water level in the body will remain restored.

2.Eat carbohydrate and protein rich foods.
Your food should be light and rich in carbohydrates. Eat wheat bread, oat grains and oatmeal. Also include protein-rich food such as salted foods, eggs or any dairy product.

3.Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Include seasonal vegetables and fruits in your diet on your daily days like melon and musk in summer. Also include cucumber, tomato, peppermint and fruit salad in your iftari.




4.Avoid sweet and fried things.
You should avoid eating fried and more sweet foods and sugar. Keep in mind that you should also avoid overeating during fasting. You should chew the food slowly and eat it in small pieces, this way the food will be properly digest.

1.It is advisable to avoid eating fried things during Roza.

2.Eating eggs, flour roti(Bread), fresh fruits, etc., keeps you healthy during the whole day.

3.Be careful not to drink too much coffee or soda at the time of sehri as coffee contains caffeine in most of its proportions.

4.Biryani, kebabs, pizza, and fast foods should avoided to be eaten in Sehri. They can affect your health as they need lots of water and time to digest properly.




5.Dates also known as khajoor should be eaten during Iftar in Roza. Dates are beneficial for health. Dates contain iron,fiber and protein which gives energy to the body.

6.Eating fried food in Iftar should be avoided and shift to the healthy diet.

7.If indigestion problem occurs during Ramadan then add fiber rich foods to your diet.

8.At the time of Iftar, one should drink minimum amount of  water as least as possible while eating food, because drinking too much water does not digest food it can be harmful to the body instead.



9.During the month of Ramadan, one should eat protein rich diet as per his/her requirement because eating more protein makes one less hungry.

After keeping fast for the day, the people open the fast by eating dates in the evening.
To relieve thirst after completing the fast, eat lemon water with ice and then watermelon and melon, because eating it gives relief from thirst for a long time.
